Do Not Compare

My father always says (In arabic) “Man Rakaba el nass, mata hamman” (who watches people dies with worries).

I couldn’t agree more. Think about it, the people who are always comparing their lives/friends/physical appearance/etc to others’ are constantly in a “competitive” position. They are trying to prove themselves, to “catch up” with everyone. This is exhausting.

Know what you are. Be comfortable with it, appreciate others for what they are. Stop comparing.

Quote of the day:

“If we only wanted to be happy, it would be easy; but we want to be happier than other people, and that is almost always difficult, since we think them happier than they are.” Montesquieu
